The Lancet Features NRG Oncology RTOG 1016 Trial
We are proud to announce that The Lancet recently published the results of the phase III trial NRG-RTOG 1016, which found that cetuximab with radiation was inferior to standard treatment in HPV-positive oropharyngeal cancer. This established the treatment combination of radiation and cisplatin as the standard of care for HPV-related head and neck cancer. Click here to view The Lancet publication.

The results of NRG-RTOG 1016 were recently highlighted during the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) 60th Annual Meeting Plenary Session in October 2018. Read more in the ASTRO press release.

Preliminary updates on the trial’s results are also available in a press release by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and NRG Oncology from August 2018. Read more in the NCI and NRG Oncology press release.
